Family Connection, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen families and communities by providing shelter, counseling, and safety for young people in crisis. As the only runaway/homeless youth shelter for adolescents 12-17 in the State of Alabama, Family Connection’s services are critical for youth in need. In addition to the Residential Youth Shelter in Alabaster, Family Connection also operates a Drop-in Day Shelter in the City of Birmingham. Project HOPE aids homeless youth by providing a place to shower, apply for jobs, learn skills, receive case management, and other support services as they work toward finding a permanent place to live.
